Minty Chocolate Coconut Smoothie



My garden is completely overrun with mint at the moment, in fact it is growing up between the cracks in the deck. Just as well I like a good mojito, but I digress! 

So I thought I would put some of my triffid mint to a more healthful use and make a pretty damn decadent, but somewhat healthy smoothie. Kind of reminds me of an afterdinner mint, and went down a treat after a hard work out tonight. In fact it was so filling that it became dinner. 


So whats in it? 


8 medjool dates ( I get a whole box of  fresh dates from a guy at Avondale markets for 5 bucks!!)
2 tablespoons of raw cacao powder
Handful of mint 
Can of coconut cream 


How do you make it? 


Pop the dates, cacao and mint leaves in your processor and whizz until smooth. Slowly add the coconut cream and process until smooth


This is beaaauutiful! And good for you! Full of fibre, antioxidants, theobromine from cacao for enhanced mood and cognition and of course heavenly coconut, full of healthy metabolism boosting fats!
